Shampoo and conditioner bars are so fantastic! If you're new to them, they can take a bit of getting used to as they are different to using shampoo out of a squeezy bottle or pump. But once you've got the hang of it, they are great. And the best part is you never have to throw a plastic shampoo bottle in the bin again! Most bars require you to rub the bar into wet hair to create a milky substance or lather, then you wash your hair as normal. They are packed with natural ingredients, free from nasty toxins, and work just as well (if not better!) at washing and conditioning your hair. They are also available for all different hair types, and we have numerous leading brands available.
This is an easy and awesome swap - 100% plastic free & compostable, never to pollute the ocean and beaches for centuries to come! Wooden hairbrushes are made using sustainably-sourced materials, and they work just as well as any plastic hairbrush.
Ditch throwaway plastic cleaning bottles and make the switch to dissolvable cleaning drops! They turn any spray bottle into a reusable spray bottle, so you won't need to buy a single-use cleaning bottle again. Simply fill a spray bottle up with water, pop a drop into the water, and give it a shake, and you're ready to clean! Cleaning pods are available for all manner of cleaning tasks, and they are made from plant based ingredients so are 100% toxin-free. We've tested each and every one and absolutely love them! They're as good as any supermarket brand.
These guys have been one of our most popular products this year! And we know why. These large sized, organic cotton food bags are the perfect size for large loaves of breads and any other food you wish to carry and store. We now take them to the supermarket and pop our fresh loaves into them - meaning it's goodbye single-use plastic bread bags!
This 8-pack of reusable food produce bags are the ideal companion for grocery shopping. They come in a small carry pouch which can clip to your trolly, jeans or bag, so you can whip out a bag as you need one. They are made from recycled plastic bottles, so buying these saves bottles from landfill. They are highly durable and machine washable, and are also great for organising your fridge and pantry.
Plastic-free dental floss is exactly what it says on the tin - floss made using non-plastic materials and with plastic-free packaging. The plastic used in 'standard' floss is not recyclable, so the only option for disposal is the normal waste bin where it is headed for landfill, or worse - the ocean. Making the switch to an eco-friendly alternative is super easy! Leading brands offer floss in a glass jar or in compostable packaging - bonus.
Plastic-free toothpastes offer solutions which come in recyclable or compostable packaging. We stock both fluoride and flouride-free options. The packaging for standard toothpaste is not recyclable via standard recycling, so often ends up in the garbage bin and straight to landfill. Can you imagine how many empty tubes of toothpaste must be sitting in landfill sites across the UK?
We have some great plastic-free mouthwashes available. The Oil Pulling Mouthwash by Georganics is very effective, and comes in a glass jar with a recyclable metal lid. Georganics also make mouthwash tablets which are fabulous for travel as well as at home, as they are liquid free until you mix them with water to create the mouthwash. One more throwaway plastic bottle - avoided!
Zero Wrap is a reusable alternative to cling film, foil and baking paper. For those looking to say goodbye to wasteful kitchen products, this is a great solution. Cling film is not recyclable, so once used for the mere few minutes or hours that you need it, it heads straight for the garbage bin and into landfill! Zero Wrap is made from 100% recyclable silicone, and is highly durable so can be used again and again!
Dishwashing soap bars offer a fantastic zero waste, toxin-free alternative to standard liquids which generally come containing harsh ingredients and packaged in disposable plastic bottles. To use a bar, you scrub it under a warm tab with a sponge or brush, and then when the water is nice and milky, you wash dishes as normal. The bars are highly effective and packed with powerful natural cleaning ingredients.
The laundry wash powder by Planet Detox smells divine, and does a fantastic job of cleaning your clothes without any harsh chemicals. The powder comes in a 500g pack in a recycled paper bag, ready to decant at home. Make the easy switch and save another plastic bottle from landfill!
This fantastic toilet brush & holder set is 100% plastic-free. The toilet brush has plant-based bristles so will not shed micro-plastics into the ocean, and is biodegradable and compostable at the end of its life. The metal holder is reusable and recyclable after use.
This gorgeous moisturiser by Beauty Kubes is plastic-free, vegan, and packed with potent natural ingredients to keep skin hydrated day and night. It comes packaged in a recyclable aluminium tin.
Zero Waste Dry Shampoo powders are the ultimate plastic-free and eco-friendly way to freshen locks and add volume to your hair between washes, without the need for disposable cans and bottles. The powders come in a compostable paper bag weighing 200g each, so one pack will last a super long time. Your dry shampoo powder can be decanted into the refillable storage tins, designed to be reused time and time again. Dry shampoos are available for lighter, darker and redder shades of hair.
15. Drinking Bottles
Reusable drinking bottles made from food-grade stainless steel are super durable, and are perfect for home and when you're out on the go. We stock a range of bottles including isotherm and artist-designed, so you're bound to find one you love.
This magical washing up powder from Planet Detox revolutionises dishwashing, by offering a super effective, natural and plastic-free washing solution. The powder creates a fantastic foam, providing an effective bath for your kitchenware.
Eco-friendly cleaning brushes offer a plastic-free, zero waste alternative to environmentally-damaging mainstream products. All of our cleaning brushes and pads are biodegradable or recyclable. And they work super well at cleaning dishes and the home.
Stainless steel and bamboo drinking straws are a fabulous alternative to plastic straws, which have had a lot of negative media coverage this last few years due to the monumental damage they have caused to oceans and marine wildlife. All of our straws are either 100% compostable or recyclable. Stock up in time for garden gatherings this Summer!
If you need to use a bin liner, the plant based 100% certified compostable bin liners from Onya are a sustainable solution! They are made from GMO-free renewable plants and are free from any plastic additives such as Polypropylene, Polyethylene, Polystyrene & PVC.
Stainless steel safety reasons are a great alternative to disposable plastic razors. They are 100% recyclable. The razor handle will last for years and years, and you simply replace the blade every month or so with another recyclable steel blade. They offer a great shave too - for men and women!
